Creating Shared Value (CSV)
The Creating Shared Value pillar of the Responsible Sourcing Program encourages processors to support their supplying supplier farms to go beyond compliance, restore biodiversity and reduce the impact of their operations on the environment (including their carbon footprint).
Participation in this pillar is voluntary Parties make commitments and then implement specific actions within a three-year timeframe based on annual assessments of the farms’ status versus the Nestle Vegetables Agricultural Guidelines.

Creating Shared Value means going beyond business-as-usual: Nestlé consciously identifies areas where shareholders’ interest and society’s interest strongly intersect and where value creation can be optimized for both. As a result, Nestlé invests resources, both in terms of talent and capital, in those areas where the potential for joint value creation is the greatest and seeks collaborative action with relevant stakeholders in society.
